I am a part-time author, and have been writing since I was a child. I’ve written a variety of stories and papers, most of which will make their public debut on this blog. I have presented papers at academic conferences, including the Mid-Atlantic Popular and American Culture Conference; and currently blog about beer at Stouts and Stilettos.
I live in the Washington, D.C. area, which I have called home for almost 20 years. I also lived in North Carolina for eight years. I studied communications and film for six years at both North Carolina State University and Georgetown University. Such studies have found their way into my writing, both academic and fiction.
I am a voracious reader. I enjoy general fiction, horror, and comedy tinged with despair. I also love movies, and frequently visit the bevy of theaters that are thankfully in walking distance of my home. Cinematic stories are wonderful stories, and I enjoy watching them. While my forte is literature, my fondness for dialogue is apparent in many of my pieces.
In addition to the pieces shared on this blog, I am working on larger projects for publication. Two pieces are currently in the works: a collection of short stories, and a novel. I will share updates on their progress on this blog, in addition to sharing my separate one-off pieces of writing.
Thank you for reading.
